my name is siobhán frances o'hare. i am a twenty1 year old gemini girl hailing from lancashire, england. i'm slightly more than slightly overweight and usually not too bothered by this, and i'm fairly pretty. i'm also supposedly quite intelligent, though i tend to lack common sense, especially when within 12 feet of my best friend and/or alcohol. from 2004 to 2006 i attended st. mary's sixth form college in blackburn, where i achieved 3 A's and a D at A level after forgetting to study for my french exam. since september 2006 i've been a student of the University of Liverpool, where i'm studying for a BA in English Studies. when i grow up i want to be an editor...or something. i'm quite a friendly person in that i usually try to be nice when people talk to me. however, i'm by no means a social person as i tend to be uncomfortable when surrounded by too many people, and so my social circles tend to be pretty small and close-knit. i've been friends with my best friend since i was eleven years old, and she tends to provide all the non-romantic social life i need when i'm at home, though often this is subsidised with company from her older brother, whom i'm quite close to, and from the remains of our small group of high-school friends. at university, i'm close friends with a group of six girls, and friendly acquaintances with a large number of people i've met through either them or my course. romantically, i have been dating my boyfriend for two and a half years, having known and liked him since i was fifteen. we are very very much in love, to the point that it is both sickening and ridiculous to those around us. it's the sort of intense feeling for somebody that is portrayed in the epic love stories i've loved since i was little, the sort of love i've yearned for and never really believed is truly real until now. when i am with him everything is perfect and sometimes when i am away from him i feel like i can't breathe; i feel like i'm the luckiest person in the world to love him like i do, and want nothing more than to spend the rest of my life with him.

my biggest interest is music, as i barely function without it. i rarely don't have music playing around me, either on my computer, my walkman or my phone. i have a wide and varied taste in music, and i go through obsessive phases with different songs and artists, meaning that my 'favourites' change from minute to minute; however, i often cite 'here with me' by dido as my all-time favourite song when there is no more current 'favourite' usurping it's place. check out my last.fm and my playlist for a better idea of my musical interests. my other love is reading and writing; i've been an avid reader of everything i can get my hands on since i was old enough to read, and am especially fond of fantasy novels. i've been a harry potter fan since i was nine years old (and was a fairly active member of the harry potter fandom from early 2003 to late 2006), and had read the lord of the rings long before the films were released. i've been an aspiring writer for much of my life, and my ambition to be an editor is only a backup ambition because my record-breaking novel has yet to be written. as well as writing, i'm quite artistic, and one of my main pastimes is playing around with graphics on adobe photoshop, which is the love of my life (after theBoyfriend, obviously). i don't watch much tv, though i was a passionate btvs fanatic in my early teens, and my love for that show will always linger. aside from buffy, i developed an almighty obsession with queer as folk in 2005, and that show will always hold a special place in my heart. my current tv-show 'obsession' is doctor who. i'm also quite fond of video games, with my favourites being Oblivion for the xbox360, Sim City 4 on the PC and almost anything wii-related.
